Profile Zon was a progressive rock band formed in Toronto, Canada, in 1977. The band consisted of vocalist Denton Young, guitarist Brian Miller, bassist Jim Samson, drummer Kim Hunt, and keyboard player Howard Helm. Don V. Lorusso produced the band’s first album, “Astral Projector”, which was released on blue vinyl. The album became an FM radio staple in the late ’70’s. The album garnered the band a ‘Best New Group’ Juno Awards nomination. The band would find themselves opening up gigs for the likes of The Tubes at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens, and with Styx and Foreigner at CNE Stadium, getting opening slot encores on all occasions.

Right from “Put on the Show thru to Hollywood, there are no weak songs on Astral Projector. My favourites have always been; Point of View/Where to Spend my Dollar (A more than 7 minute long 2 directional song with a little of everything), On the Road is the straight up rocker, Astral Projector (Great title song with great harmony) and then my favourite “Hollywood!” Vocal and keyboard/synthesizer heaven on this one. A absolute kick ass last song to finish the album!! Brings back all those memories of great times back in the later 1970’s…A must have for all real music buff’s and collectors…..
