Profile This awesome Indie from 1991 has to be one of the hardest to find AOR albums from Austria! WIFF plays pure 80’s AOR along the lines of bands like Fahrenheit, Dominoe or Sasons in Color. Big keys along with smoking guitars and massive backing vocals are main ingredients of the ultra melodic WIFF sound. Just listen to the opener “Frozen Winds” (like Fahrenheit meets Seasons in Color) and you’ll know what I mean!
The following “Talking To You” is another instantly ctachy AOR tune which features cool female co lead vocals and sounds like a mix of Tintenfish and Fantasie. Fueled by prominent sparkling keys and driving guitars / solos songs like “These Dreams”, “Money” or “Wiff Got It” are AOR gems of the highest order and remind of Dominoe, early Andy Baum or Number Nine while “I Need You” and “When You Lie” are both fantastic power ballads à la Opus meets Fahrenheit. Release on PG Records and produced by Peter Guschelbauer on a few copies.
