Profile Tora hailed from Manchester formed in 1979 under the name Tora Tora. The band till 1984 when they disband release two singles. After a few years break, the band returned with a new cast and a name shortened to Tora, followed by a demo and several concerts, so that they reached the attention of Kerrang and a few fanzines, releasing one more single “De-Ja-Vu” in 1987 via Laminate Records. The new single move to more melodic paths with a prog touch than the NWOBHM sound of the band’s early work. The single sold only moderately. The band remained active for the rest of the 80s, appeared together with FM and played in 1988 with The Dogs D’Amour.
