Loud ‘N’ Nasty – Teaser Teaser [2004]

Swedish band Loud ‘N’ Nasty released their sophomore album “Teaser Teaser” in 2004. Loud ‘N’ Nasty essentially play a hybrid of early Ratt and Motley Crue, and maybe a smidge of W.A.S.P. sprinkled in for good measure. The band really upgraded with this release in every department, and this album is what makes the band one of the must-haves of the Swedish “street metal” scene.

“Teaser Teaser” is about as much fun as you can imagine from a band that essentially sounds like a Ratt and early Motley Crue clone. The band is sharp in every aspect of this release: the vocals and production have been improved, the songs are better written, and the musicianship is top-notch. The album is nowhere near essential to the genre, but for what it is the album is totally a throwback good time. My favorites from the album are “Play Dirty,” “If You Wanna Rock” and “Hungry,” but there really isn’t anything that stuck out as filler to me.

Loud ‘N’ Nasty are really worthy additions to any sleaze rock fans collection. The band may not be as refined as say Crashdiet, Reckless Love or Crazy Lixx, but they are actually quite good for what they are.
