H.E.A.T. – Address The Nation [2012]

Swedish powerhouse rockers H.E.A.T. return with Address The Nation which is their third amazing album in a row. It was hard to predict what would happen to H.E.A.T. following the decision to change singers to Erik Gronwall who won Swedish Idol in 2009 but this new album leaves no doubt that their amazing run of albums will continue. The music is rock, the production is massive, the performances are stellar, and the vibe of the album screams classic.

From beginning to end this is a high quality rock album that focuses on memorable choruses and lots of great guitar playing very much in the style of Bon Jovi’s early classic albums Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. Highlights are many but include the hook filled vocals and massive chorus of “Living On The Run”, the brilliant pre chorus and synth solo of “Better Off Alone”, the huge power ballad “The One And Only”, the memorable chorus of “Falling Down”, the layered backing vocals of “Heartbreaker”, and the nostalgic sax solos and pure melodic rock magic of “In And Out Of Trouble”.

Address The Nation is yet another superb album by H.E.A.T. that will definitely be a top 5 album for the year and is highly recommended to fans of other quality bands such as Treat, Coldspell, Leverage, and Brother Firetribe.
