Danger Danger – Revolve [2009]

Danger Danger is a band that have released some great albums in the past and have been a cornerstone of the melodic rock style for 20 years. This new album sounds awesome with a nice fat production and the welcome return of Ted Poley’s vocals to the music. The CD booklet and cover looks very professional too. Although the music is very well produced some of the songs are a little hit and miss for me and some of the lyrics are a bit cheesy.

Ted Poley has brought that happy vibe back to the music of Danger Danger and everyone I have shown this music to gets a big smile on their face and wants to sing along. His vocal style and melodies are some of the best ever and he shines throughout the album. The track “Killing Love” is excellent and the ballad “Fugitive” is great too. The song “Keep On Keepin’ On” is pure vintage Danger Danger and “Dirty Mind” brings back memories of Diving For Pearls classic debut.

Overall I think diehard fans of D2 will love this – highly recommended to fans of happy melodic rock!
