Christian Loer – 180 Grad Chance-Songs [1986]

Christian Loer’s album “180 Grad Chance-Songs” from 1987 was one of their earlier releases and it’s one of the rarest cds from Lord Records. As you can expect from all LORD releases, this album contains great Christian Westcoast / AOR with good songs, memorable melodies, excellent musicianship and a crystal clear production. The two Jost brothers, Helmut and Frieder, both members of Damaris Joy are featured as musicians and producers.

“Keine KLugen Sprüche” opens the album with a nice mix of guitars and keyboards in the vein of Augenblicke, while the very catchy “Meistermaler” comes up with a memorable hookline and reminds of Damaris Joy. “Love-Songs” has some great keyboards on offer and a catchy chorus that sounds like Eternity, while “Halt Mich” contains tasty backing vocals and sounds like Paul Field meets Helmut Jst. If you like the Lord Records releases… or if you are into classic Westcoast with great musicianship and classy arrangements, then you should check this rarity. For fans of Damaris Joy, Augenblicke, Helmut Jost, Andy Radovan and Paul Field.
