Profile The name of Fun Red must not be familiar to many metalheads. A ‘supergroup’ from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 1992, including Kee Marcello (Europe, Easy Action), Tobbe Moen (OZ), Freddy Von Gerber (Voodoo X, Rat Bat Blue, Bam Bam Boys) and Thomas Persson (Alien).
“My Baby is coming Back” and “Doc Love” are two excellent rockers. More rocky then bluesy. “Could have been Love” is a very nice mid pased ballad. “Rock this Town” is a cracker of a rock song. “Midnight Stranger” is an excellent uptempo rock song with an aorish chorus. “Bad Reputation” another nice rocker. “Don’t close your Eyes” a cool mid pased song with some great guitar playing. “Party” I dont need to explain it. I think an excellent uptempo good feel song. The album ends of in blistering from with for me the best party rock song “Red Hot ‘n Ready”.
Rockin’ and kinda pop’n’bluesy with an opener that makes me think of Van Halen’s classic Ice Cream Man. Definately cool stuff. This is the only record of the band, included a promotional single with the song ‘My Baby’s Coming Back”. In summer of 1993 they supported Guns N’Roses and Neil Young.
