Profile The band original started in 1984 under the name Cat Genetica and change it to Red Abyss in 1989 were they released one album, “Luci’s Love Child” back in 1992 on Eurock Records. Musically, Red Abyss drew on jazz, funk and rock influences dominated by singer Julie Worland’s Janis Joplin–influenced vocals. In time, its music took on harder punk and metal edginess. The album released in very limited copies and is totally hard to be found nowdays.
