Profile In The Pink was formed in Boston in 1986. After a few lineup changes that included Pat Badger (Extreme) and Brian Tichy (Ozzy, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Whitesnake), the band became one of the most popular bands in the local rock scene. In 1990 they inked a short-lived record contract with Epic Records only to become a casualty after their A&R guy departed the label. In 1991, local radio station WAAF decided to add the ballad “Under Summer Skies” to their playlist.

The song eventually landed them at #1 on the charts. Popularity of the song spread and “Under Summer Skies” became a #1 hit in multiple markets including 98 Rock in Baltimore. In The Pink found it more difficult to succumb to the new Grunge movement and instead of sacrificing their integrity, they decide to call it quits in 1993. In 1998 MTM records released their album under the name Sunshine Jive.
