Profile “Monro” is the first and only work of the eponymous band that was formed in the spring of 1985 by four lads from the valleys and hills of South Wales. The father of the singer had been with The Squires, the group of Tom Jones. Their performance at the legendary Marquee in London, attended a couple of scouts, who were impressed by the show the band had given and their commercial sound. In 1987 band’s debut album came out through the Japanese Alfa Records while the album promoted with the single “Some Girls” and they were ranked among the most promising bands. This album is very highly recommended to fans of Atlantic, I-Ten, Rio, Boulevard, Export, FM, etc having layered harmonies, huge hooks, marvellous production, above average vocals and a perfect blend of guitars and keyboards. This band is one of the mystery why they never gain the recognition they deserve. The album re-released by Retrospect Records.
