Profile METRICS were a German band who released 2 albums in 1993 and 1995. After their nice debut in 1993 they released “Wave Goodbye” 2 years later on Tepa Records. The debut was quite good, but “Wave Goodbye” is far better, as it contains real killer tracks! It starts with “Going To The City”, a great AOR track with excellent guitar work and a great chorus that reminds Rescue meets Surprise. “Fading Lights” is another killer track with a stunning hookline that comes along in the vein of Douglas meets Tokyo. “Back Where I Belong” is a smooth keyboard-driven midtempo song, while the rocking 2As Before” comes back with squealing guitars and big backing vocals.

In general, the guitar work here is really outstanding – already on the first 2 songs the guitarist Andreas Hammer shoots some amazing guitar riffs out of his hip. He brings on some more cool licks at the catchy “Cornerstone” that starts with big drums and big keyboards and leads into a straight rocker with an unbelievable chorus in the vein of Rescue meets Craaft!

This is really one of the best indie AOR releases from Germany that ever were released! The songs are outstanding, the musicianship excellent and the production absolutely great for an indie release! If you are into bands like Rescue, Surprise, Douglas, Craaft, Tokyo and Jojo worth the search for this rarity…
