Love Cream

Country Australia

Style Hard Rock

Profile Love Cream formed whilst in high school, during the crisp winter of 2011. The idea behind the band was to create an uprising for the Rock music scene; to kick out the computers, and bring back the real bloody-sweaty energy. Having minimal musical ability behind them- aside from Nick Robinson (Lead guitarist), they took to the shed what would either be the beginning of something terribly wrong, or profusely great. After developing their ‘true-to-rock’ sound and niche, they made their act public with their debut gig at the “Burnside Battle of the Bands 2011”. After a 20 minute set of originals with titles like ”She’s a Smokin’ Bitch”, “Why Not Me?” and “Hot In The Dark”, it was clear to the audience and judges that The Creams’ heavy hitting riffs and to-the-point lyrics were worth nothing less than grand ovation, and were awarded first place.

That was the starting point of the bands amassing success. Later in the year they won a top prize from national web-comp “My School Act”. This prize placed them on one of the main stages for their own set in the 2012 Adelaide ‘Big Day Out’. Since then, they have developed an ever-growing cult following around Adelaide, while rocking various venues and shows such as “Carclew Youth Arts’ off the Couch 2012” – filling out Jive; “Glam Junkie’s Sleaze Ball” – held at the Cavern; and the “MONSTERS OF (local) ROCK festival” at the Adelaide Uni-Bar. However, undoubtedly their most rewarding venture was closer to the end of 2012- the debut year of Love Cream. After entering local talent competition ‘Adelaide’s Next Superstar’ on a laughable whim (due to feeling their approach to showmanship just wasn’t ‘right’ for the competition), they were surprised when the entire event (including the judges) fell into a crazed uproar of appreciation.

Halfway through recording their debut E.P. “First Taste” in Queensland with musical prodigy Casey Jones (Of De La Cruz fame), Love Cream had to fly back to Adelaide to compete in the grand final event of Adelaide’s Next Superstar, held to a crowd of +1000 at the Entertainment Centre. Needless to say, the band claimed first place in the band category. That’s when the future of the band changed… Love Cream are no longer looking to release a 5 track debut E.P.. With the first place prize from the competition, the band are now releasing an additional 5 tracks to form a full length album to be released as the grand-unveiling of their master-plan; To bring back the balls to rock.
