Profile Garbo, a native to New Jersey has recorded three 45 singles, 1 LP, and 6 CDs. He has also received numerous honorable mentions from the Billboard Song Contests. In 1985 Garbo had released a 45 single titled “DON’T STOP” which received much air play along with great reviews in Italy, Holland and Great Britain. This song also went on to become one of the picks on the WAPP New York’s Best Band album and the WDHA Home Grown album.CMI Records.

No novice to the industry, Matt began playing and performing at the age of 5 and has been recording since he was 16. Garbo started playing drums and percussion at the age of 5. By age 7 Garbo began studying piano which continued up until the age of 16, when he started guitar lessons. To expand his background in music he attended Jersey City State College and majored in music. He writes and produces all of his own music, and plays most of the instruments as well.

His self-titled album originally released 1999 by CMI Records contained 11 song of pure AOR melodies. Without a doubt the opening song “I’m Alive and I’m Free” is the highlight here and the most powerful song that definetely will stuck in your head for a long time. The rest of the songs movie into lite AOR territories when I stand out are the melodious “Time Won’t Let Me”, the touchy ballad “Passion in My Heart”, the rockin’ “Saturday Night” reminds the golden era of the 70s rock ‘n’ roll with great sax work and the closing “Wicked Woman” with impresssive guitar work…..
