Profile Obscure release from 1988 by multi instrumentalist artist Leroy Bocchieri came out from Spectre Records. You’ll get a full service of Hi-Tech AOR here with big keyboards, great arrangements, a pretty crisp production and excellent songs with big hooklines. Just think of the Austrians Mindwork, Valet Parking, Chris Cramer and Andy Baum or the German Hi-Tech band EZ Money or the Swiss Taboo and you might have a clue how Leroy sounds like!
“Hold You Closer” opens the album with great keys and a huge chorus in the vein of Mindwork, while the second song “Ain’t Nothing” reminds a lot of Chris Cramer and the catchy “Take Heart” with its big chorus sounds like Andy Baum as his best! A little bit of Taboo can be found at the quirky “Thought It Was A Dream” while Mindwork meets Valet Parking shines through at the melodic “I Gotta Know”, that comes along with swirling keyboards and a memorable hookline.
