Profile I definetely wouldn’t describe Cannan as a metal band, this is real solid effort from a good rock band. The thing that impressed me the most about this album is the quality and versatility of their writing. For that very reason, however, the music here may not be something everyone is going to like from start to finish. The lyrics nad performance on this record (demo) are dynamite. I tend to be more of a guitar pirest, so some of the keyboard work didn’t thrill me. It tended to sound a little cheesy (especially on “Heaven”).

But that not withstanding, overall this is a really good effort. Cannan is fronted by a female vocalist but don’t let that turn you off. She is actually quite good. The only real reservation I have in recommending this album whole heartedly is it’s lack of consistency. So many styles are represented. But if you feel like expanding your horizons, I’d get this album and enjoy. It’s worth the risk. “Real World”, “Out of the Blue”, “Wind from the Fire” and the title track are outrageously good! Realeased only on tape and is extremely rare…
