Profile The group, originally under the name Eastern Road, was formed in the 80s to Vitry le Francois, the meeting of five musicians: Philippe Chauveau vocals (ex singer of several groups of dances known in the region) Gerard Cappagli guitar, ex musician Iris (group of 70, who had recorded an LP and 2 Singles), which was reformed in 2008. Jean Pierre Humbert guitar Eric Paillet on drums Jean Jacques on bass Tridon The first 2, older and experienced a few years were “locomotives” of the group, the three others it was their first real band experience .

Soon the group became regionally famous thanks to his talent and charisma of its singer, and after a few concerts in Vitry, chalons Champagne, Reims, and with the assistance of the first free radio (at the time it was all early radio stations), the group has established itself as the best group in the region. Meanwhile, the bassist is replaced by Philippe Derda which will shortly, and after his departure, the singer Philippe, a little disappointed by the departure of two bassists, will be low (it was also previously) but it does not enchanted because it was not practical for the stage. Subsequently, the group becomes essential in the region, noted in a few festivals and attracts many concerts. A producer will eventually be interested in, and the band signed a single in late 1983 Sterne, distributed by CBS, and begins to rotate successfully throughout France.

This is an opportunity to make this disc on board the production, titles being sung in French, the group changed its name and is now called Calamine. End of 1984, Gérard Cappagli reluctantly left the band because it must move out of the area for personal reasons, and was replaced shortly after by François Car, which will some time, and then other musicians succeed, but no other disk will be recorded. Around 1990, the group separates. In 1997 the singer Philippe Chauveau died on the feast of music, can be a little as he described in his writings, a real end of Rocker. Eric Humbert and Jean Pierre Paillet still play from time to time when oxen. Cappagli Gerard, who jointly reformed the group with Tony Carbonare Iris should go on stage in 2009, a CD is in progress.
