SNAKE EYE

Country France

Style Hard Rock / Metal

Few bands on today’s French Metal Scene can rock you with Melodic Hard Rock like in the late 80’s in the US. No doubt yet that the guys in SNAKE EYE can really do it! Relying basically on their own musical tastes rather than fashions, our five musicians joined in January 2002 in Paris to form SNAKE EYE. They wanted to find back the emotion, musicality and energy that put bands like Whitesnake, Winger, Dokken or Skid Row in the spotlight, and they rapidly composed the material for a first demo, recorded in April 2002. This self-produced CD won laudatory critics in the biggest music magazines in France (Hard Rock Magazine, Rock Time, Rock Hard with a title on their September 2002 CD sampler), and abroad.

The first album Wild Senses, came out in February 2003 on French label Brennus Music, and the band promoted it with interviews in Rock Hard, Hard Rock magazine and also on internet. French and foreign journalists and critics all agreed to stress a healthy return to the basics of Heavy Rock and US Hard Rock in the album. It was time for the band to give concerts. SNAKE EYE most notably opened for Freak Kitchen at La Locomotive, Mike Tramp at the New Morning, Paul Di Anno / American Dog at La Locomotive. They performed at the «Raismes Fest» 2004 with ANGRA, opened for EUROPE at the Elysée Montmartre, proudly played at the Wacken Open Air Festival in 2005, played twice at the festival «Rockalies», opened for DAD at the Trabendo, and LORDI at the Elysee Montmartre, among many other concerts through France. Combining bluesy vocals, virtuoso guitars and a kick-ass rhythm section, SNAKE EYE offers in a synthesis of what the US and Europe produced best in terms of high-style metal with catchy refrains.

In late 2005, SNAKE EYE spent 4 weeks in studio in Paris to record and mix the dozen venom samples that made up “RITUAL INSTINCT”. They signed it with american label Kivel Records, THE melodic hard-rock label in the US led by passionate John Kivel, for a US and UK distribution in 2006. After reaching a wider audience thanks to “Ritual Instinct”, our musicians went back on the road, and gathered enough material for a third album. The new demo met great enthousiasm among fans as well as journalists with killer songs like “Resurrection”, “Highway To Love”, or “Live To Die” . Finally, after a long time to record on a tough production for all new songs, SNAKE EYE have chosen to work really hard with the famous great Rock producer and sound ingeneer: Francis Caste, in the Saint-Marthe Studio. Then SNAKE EYE had to sign with the best deal to unveil “Snake Eye: III” in 2015, before joined BRENNUS MUSIC in 2014 to have a large support and the necessary promotional materials. After a lot of success, a lot of gigs and an unexpected interview including a Live Show in “Une Dose 2 Metal” french TV Show with SCORPIONS.
