Profile For Pete Webb, songs are the key to music that has meaning, energy, and staying power. Mileage was the first of several independent CDs to bring Pete Webb’s voice to audiences in Canada, America, and Europe. Recorded under the band name Webb–a musical collective comprised of Trevor Teed on drums, Barry Walls on bass, and Deanna Knight on backup vocals, plus assorted guest musicians–Mileage established Pete as a socially-conscious songwriter. His band proved to be equally adept at acoustic ballads and full-blown electric rock.

Webb’s Mileage will appeal to fans of Barney Bentall & The Legendary Hearts, Northern Pikes, Refugee and Ray Lyell. Catchy tracks like “Down on the Waterfront” and “Don’t Keep Me Hangin’ On” are first rate AOR. “September Rain” is pure Jimmy Harnen melodic gold, reminding me of “Southern Lady” off Can’t Fight The Midnight. The excellent “Hard Road” is the perfect song to finish with… and a song that sounds like Goats Head Soup-era Rolling Stones….
