Profile Rarity from Montreal released in 1992 by 12 Art Records, contain 4-tracks well arranged and performed with stellar production and harmony tunes. The first song is textbook 80’s mid-tempo AOR… soaring vocals, beautiful production and awesome harmonies throughout. Imagine a French language Zahalan or Lisa Hartman. The next two songs are just as commercial-sounding and remind me of Lee Aaron and Romeo’s Daughter. Again, all the elements come together perfectly. “Complice, I.O.U.” is a satisfying final song: this one reminds me of Oregon’s French Kiss, another female-fronted indie band who released a great little E.P. around the same time. If you love well-produced female AOR, I highly recommend this indie gem!
