Profile Toronto based rockers Velvet Hammer release this album back in 2007 through Bullseye label in limited copies, a rarity nowdays that worth your attention. Very enjoyable release with female vocals along the lines of Marianne Faithful, Bonnie Tyler, and Kim Carnes, eaturing members of Cheaper Than Therapy and Moving Targetz, while there’s a Cover version of Alice Cooper’s “Only Women Bleed”.

  1. Gents,
Interesting to see the Velvet Hammer CD “Somebody Else’s Life” on here…especially in connection with the Texas band of the same name.

These are two different artists. “Somebody Else’s Life” is a Canadian release by Sharon Judd, Ivan Judd, Charles McDonald and Jaimie Vernon. We were not from Texas. We were from Toronto. It was a side-project of our other band Cheaper Than Therapy.
