Profile It was January of 1984 when  the keyboardist Alexander Königsberg met guitarist Alexander Ermert, yet no one knew of the two, which should arise from this musical connection. The two musicians, who also later became the best of friends, agreed this month that the existing at that time band project “Diamond Dagger” should be supported from now on with the sounds of a keyboard. From that original line, in the already Markus Köcheler sat on drums, should emerge one of the most successful rock bands of the Allgäu region in the coming years. “TRACE”. After several personnel reshuffles and other mess was in December 1988, the Urquartett with Charly Kaa (guitars, vocals), Alexander Konigsberg (keyboards, back vocals), Stefan Frey (bass, back vocals) and Markus Köcheler (drums, back vocals) firmly.

 Heavy riffs with subtle keyboards and a catchy chorus singing for everyone, or “melodic power rock.” After numerous smaller gigs in the local area, the extremely well-received by the audience, the four then received in November 1991 spontaneously after the failure of the planned group “Dare” opportunity as the opening act for many years internationally known, former lead singer of “Warlock” Doro Pesch participate on her solo tour. The next opportunity they were given just four months later, at the meanwhile traditionally become Germany Rocks festival in the Zeppelin Hall Kaufbeuren, where the groups “Crossroads”, “Chroming Rose” and “Mat Sinner” participated. They successfully back to the audience as the opener duly einzuheizen.

 In July 1992, they had their last big concert in the original line as the opener of “Julee Cruise” and “Pur” before Mark Köcheler departed at the end of the year for personal reasons. A successor found the boys luckily PT Lerf, who had previously earned a pretty good reputation with various smaller local bands. With renewed vigor, they went in March 1993 after Ailingen where “TRACE” in the final round of a rock contest where over 300 South German bands had applied, could answer the generously endowed 1st prize and thus henceforth a year of Upper Swabia could call No. 1. In 1994 they started recorded their first album “Line of Fire” released in 1996 while the band with a total of 11 concerts and two highlights: the opening act of “Mothers’ Finest” (Immenstadt) and opener with Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow (Bad Wörishofen) live yield was greater than ever before in the band’s history and the band’s reputation came into high. In 2001 keyboardist Alex Konigsberg left for personal reasons.
