Profile Not to be confused with the hard rock band “The Stand” from California. This one coming from Nashville, Tennessee formed in 1987 by brothers Simmons. Previous known as Simmonz they opened for bands like Damn Yankees, Bad Company and Blue Oyster Cult, to name few. Their first work as “The Stand” came out in 1988 through Pak’er Records, a 4-tracks EP that gain minor success.

They continue write songs and performed live around but they never released something else. Thanks to FNA Records we have a collection of 15-tracks and although the production of the songs are not the best there’re some really impressive tunes with very good guitar work and some really good ideas. Their style is a mixture of hard rock and metal with some progressive and power metal parts and worth the listening.
