Profile Hard to find selftitled indie release from US band THE MEANS from 1992. Released at the small indie label Blue Duck Records in limited quantities, in the vein of Winger and Danger Danger and some AOR based songs in the vein of The Producers and Year Zero, deliver a great piece of music. There are 11 songs in total and already the opener “Hard To Tell” is a real cracker: with a sharp edged guitar riff, this one reminds  a lot of Winger, while the following “This Girl” comes along like a quirky 80’s AOR song in the vein of Year Zero. “Sometimes Love” is a wonderful power ballad that brings  Danger Danger and Ted Poley to mind and “Insane Lorrainel” is a great uptempo glam rocker, again with lots of   Danger Danger influences. The cracking guitars on “She” again reminds of Winger, while “Hello” is a slow AOR-based song with nice harmonies all over.
