Profile Formely bassist of Baby released an AOR-ish solo album back in 1984 through MCA Records and produced by Steve Lukather and Jaï Winding. The involve of Steve Lukather in the production definetely imparts a glamor in the whole album reminds in some parts Toto and I-Ten, where the songs style varied between melodic rock to pop. The opening song “Headed For A Heartbreak” is a good example of a hard pop with strong melody. Songs that stand out also is the melodious ballad “All My Love”, the rocking “Victims Of Love”, a hard eye slightly guitar of Steve Lukather and the powerful “Back On My Feet Again” with amazing collaboration between keys and melodic guitar riffs. Very good addition into your collection released only on vinyl so far….

  1. Thanks so much for helping keep this record in the public eye. It is a great record and I’m very proud of it. In the end all that matters is what you leave behind. It means the world to me. Thank you

Irving Azoff signed Steve and took him with him as he assumed presidency at MCA… We thought the deal was ‘Heaven In An Envelope’ … Nice to see th re-surgence of these songs and of the album, ‘KICKS’… As one called it,,, ‘a Ghost Masterpiece’
