PROFILE

Tonight was also the official launch for the ‘Dagger in my heart’ single from South East London sleaze rockers SILICONE BULLET . Front man Bobby Valentine’s David Lee Roth-like movements draw the crowd into the music. Once the band hit third track ‘It’s over’ the voice is warming and a wonderful Cinderella-esque riff introduces the track that appeared on the ‘Music Fusion’ industry compilation earlier in the year. ‘Dagger in my heart’ itself gets the arses shaking in the front rows before the sleaze ridden ‘Seven sisters’ manages to drag the most women onto a London stage since Drugdealer Cheerleader were last in town. The ballad ‘Lonely nights’ is not only the highlight of the set but the kind of song that would have been jammed in the US top 10 in the late eighties, its sentiments physically weakening the knees of the ladies in the house, bringing the evening to a close in style.
