Profile  Shnazz was a rock group in the late 70s and early 80s that received considerable airplay on local stations with it’s cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now”. Headed by guitarist Vernon Sakata on lead guitar and Fritz Hasenpusch on lead vocals, the band released one full-length album released in 1980 on Shadow Records and produced by Dave Shaffer. Simple lyrics, catchy beat, some power pop moves with killer dual lead guitars and great vocalist. The album featured ten songs including “I Think We’re Alone Now” and the instrumental “Pignose Under Glass.” The lead singer, Fritz, unfortunately passed away a few years ago.
