Profile The album of Sherwood– a band from Germany – is even in Germany nearly impossible to be find. One look at the cover and you know where the journey will lead you to. This looks like pure AOR and it is pure AOR! The record contains 7-tracks with catchy choruses, dominating guitars and some fine keyboards. The production isn’t on the highest standard, but the songs sound still good for an indie release without any big label in the back.

Musically I would compare Sherwood to other well known German indie AOR acts like Rescue, Surprise (released the two outstanding albums “Rockhours” and “Stop The Running”), Red Moon, Discovery and Number Nine. The title track for example comes along with strong guitar work and a sing along chorus that reminds Rescue meets Red Moon, while the infectious uptempo song “Indipendence” sounds a bit like Surprise meets Endless and the outstanding “100 mph” that comes along with cool keyboards that can be compared with Discovery. Hard to find and a cool find for fans of rare indie AOR stuff and unknown acts…
