Profile Any idea what a blend of bands like West Of Sunset, Go For It, Toys Of Joy and Fingerprints would sound like. Swedish three piece SAY COLOUR would come pretty close that’s for sure. Sugar sweet melodies and vocal harmonies drenched in sparkling keys and well placed guitars dominate all 13 tracks and with guys like Jörgen Ingeström and Thomas Axelsson (Fingerprints , West Of Sunse) involved it’s no wonder that the opener “That You Love Me” sounds exactly like West Of Sunse. Fantastic stuff! “Together Forever” is a tad more pop oriented and features another killer hookline. Arena or a lighter version of Bad Habit comes to my mind. “I Will Never Let You Down” starts with cool breezy guitar riffs and delivers fantastic harmony vocals and yet another memorable sing along refrain.
This could be a Bogart Co tune. Next track “It’s Summer In My Heart” was released as the single and it’s obvious why. You will instantly start humming along with the carousel type chorus and the overall vibe reminds me of Toys Of Joy or Big Easy. The beautiful ballad “Seeing Is Believing” goes back into West Of Sunse mode. The catchy “Hold On” and “What Would Life Really Be” both feature great guitar solos by producer Mats MP Persson (Roxette) and reminds me of a male version of Roxette. “Easy To Remember” is another beautiful Westcoast Pop track with awesome vocal harmonies that has that typical West Of Sunse touch again. This hard to find gem is sure to please all Westcoast Pop and Hi-Tech AOR fans.
