Profile Ramses was founded in July 1990 by guitarist Stefaan Lambrecht, formerly the man behind the metal band Axel, with the participation of bassist Marc Van Den Bremt and drummer Jochen De Craene.  Later added Hans De Bruck and Singer Meutter to the line up. By attracting Kurt Verschelden (ex-hellfire) as new singer in 1992 Ramses could focus more on melodic compositions and thus took their first record deal in Pinball Projects / Eye Line in Antwerp.

The first debut album “Faith in Rebirth” contains 11 strong melodic hard-rock songs and was produced by Peter de Wint (ex-Crossfire, ostrogoth and Mystery). After the internal struggles tandem Stefaan Lambrecht and Kurt Verschelden was brisk with composing songs that resulted in the mini-album “Secrets” containing four songs with lyrics all acting about Ancient Egypt.  Ramses currently consists therefore still out these 2 musicians who engaged primarily in the creation of compositions, combining melodic rock and Oriental melodies and lyrics about Ancient Egypt.
