Profile All-female metal/hard rock band from Long Island, NY from 1981 to 1988. Relocated to Los Angeles in 1988 until 1994. Self-titled album released in 1986 on Invasion, covered of Twisted Sister’s song  “Love is for Suckers” . After the recording, Gina Stile left from the band to create the band “Envy”, with her sister Rhonni.

Their self-titled album recieved critical review in the U.S. an abroad. Billboard said the album was tough, well produced, hard rock debut for sultry metelettes, combining catchy melodies and heavy rhythms.  In Europe the album climbed to number 3 on Karrang’s import chart.

Poison Dollys have been touring the U.S. since the release of their album and shared the stage with bands like Motorhead, Girlschool, Aerosmith, Autograph, Blue Oyster Cult, Stryper, to name few.

    This version of Love Is For Suckers is from BEFORE the TS version, and is not a TS cover. Dee added an extra verse he wrote to the TS version, which is why he got writer’s credit on it. There was also another version before both of these, by Gary Private. That version is very different. All are on Spotify.
