Profile Papa Dance is a Polish band formed in 1984 by producers Slawomir Wesolowski and Mariusz Zabrodzkiego. The first group consisted of: Gregory Wawrzyszak (vocals), Mark Kaczmarek (keyboards) and Tadeusz Łyskawa (drums). Initially, the group operated under the name Papa Dock , but soon changed it under the pressure of censorship because it was associated with the nickname Haitian dictator Francois Duvalier , sounding Papa Doc . Maintaining existing initials group renamed to Papa Dance.

The first hits – “W 40 dni dookoła świata and “Ordynarny faul” of 1984 met with a warm reception audience. Soon, with a view to the possibility of presenting a live, the composition included two new musicians playing piano: Konstantin Yoriadis and Krzysztof Kasprzyk . Further hits have become songs recorded in the studio since then Tonpressu: “Kamikadze Wróć!” (released in 1985 as a single with the song by Tonpress “piosenką Czy ty lubisz to co ja?” ).

In summer 1985 debut album was released, entitled Papa Dance ( Savitor ) where one song – no sensation singing drummer – Tadeusz Łyskawa. The band performed in 1985 at the Festival of Polish Song in Opole in concert hits “From the Opole Opole” with the song “Kamikadze Wróć!” and won with the votes of the audience second. Performance was not as successful – began to write that the team does not know how to play and sing live. In autumn, the band recorded for the West’s Norton single from the German and the English version of the hit “Kamikadze Wróć!” – Kamikaze You Are Mine. Also in the autumn on the Polish market released by the company Polmark cassette tape of part of the material from the first album plus a recording that did not come out sooner or medium, that is: “w 40 dni dookoła świata, Ordynarny faul and utwór instrumentalny Papa Dance.”
