Bon Voyager – World of Dreams [1998]

Country USA

Style Melodic Rock/Pop/Rock

Rating 75/100

Band Members David,John-Paul, Jonathan Greenberg – Vocals, Jack Crowley – Guitars, bass, Jack Hart – Keyboards, brass, string, Chip Anzola,Justin Borrelli – Drums

Tracks 01. Give The Love, 02. The Promise, 03. Lovin’ You, 04. Princess Of Love, 05. Hang On To Your Dream, 06. Bangladesh

Profile This band is a three person band that features three young vocalists. These guys remind me of a younger age version of the band The Party. What sets this record apart is that the musicianship is absolutely phenomenal – the guitar solos, and lush usage of keyboards everywhere would make fans of AOR lovers go crazy. The harmonies on the track, “Princess Of Love” is an instant Pop Rock super ballad, and the AOR anthem “Hang On To Your Dream” are two highlights on a remarkable album that is impossible to find.

Backlit Revolver – Daddy’s Little Devil [2004]

Country USA

Style Glam/Hard Rock

Rating 74/100

Band Members Mike – Vocals, Aaron – Guitars, Eddie – Bass, Jonny – Drums

Tracks 01. Stick It In Sideways, 02. Shotgun Love, 03. Born To Offend, 04. Hey Nikki, 05. Chemical Imbalance, 06. Sinner On Sunday, 07. Spotlight Suicide, 08. Junk King Millionaire, 09. Daddy’s Little Devil, 10. Cocaine And Switchblades

Profile“Daddy’s Little Devil” is the debut album of young Texas sleaze rockers Backlit Revolver released in 2004 via Four Four Records. This band is a high energy, 80s style, guitar driven band that plays music reminiscent of the late 80s scene. From the opening raunch of “Stick It In Sideways” through the crazed reprise of “Cocaine & Switchblades”, Backlit Revolver’s debut album “Daddy’s Little Devil” barrels ahead, high-fiving many of hard rock’s elder statesmen like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns ‘n Roses, and Motley Crue along the way. But Backlit Revolver is far from a throwback, and “Daddy’s Little Devil” is hardly a tribute record. This is rock-n-roll for a new generation. Thanks to Backlit Revolver, the new generation now has a reason to rock.
