Profile 1996 indie release and very hard to be found nowdays. The band hails from a small town in New York plays a mix of Hard Rock, Hair Metal and Melodic Metal. The tracks “Sad Time Story” and “Last Time” are two incredible 80s style ballads that could have been found on any 80s power ballad or movie soundtrack. There are also Hard Rock tracks like “Good Days Thrown Away” and “No Mercy” which are played with excellent guitar work.  It is hard to say who exactly these guys sound like – there are some  elements of Queensryche on the more Melodic Metal tracks and Stancy and Cleavage on the Hard Rockin’ tracks.

Profile Hard to find release from 1990 on Megaphone/Cantio. This is pretty light and is more equivalent Swedish pop-rock acts like West Of Sunset and Fingerprints. There’re also hit from Rick Springfield and even Alien. There’re many light aor tunes with poppy moments, beautiful harmonies and vocals. Worthy addition into your collection.

Profile Impossible to be found nowdays 1996 release from Idaho based hard rock/aor band The Edge on Mattman Records. This is a stunning hard rock indie treasure that most collectors thought did not exist.  The opening track “Shot And A Beer” has such a stunning melodic chorus, with excellent vocals.  “Coming Home” reminds of any Mr. Big ballad, while “Lost In Time” is a moody AOR anthem.  This is one of those indies that are a must for serious collectors.  Dixon Jane and Slick Lilly fans would dig this.

Profile Black on Blond hailed from Southern California formed by singer/guitarist Cliff Calabro, bassist Long Ly and drummer Brett Chassen in a meeting in a local music store. With the addition of Christy Lawerence the quartet started working on songs released in their debut album “Wild Anticipation” in 1995 via Splash International. The band gain critical claim in many European countries as well as a featured spot on the USA Network’s Up All Night television show. There’re elements of Kidd Wikkid and White Eagle. I guess with a better approach in their songwriting would be another prime example of long lost gem.

Profile This is one of those lost indie treasures that every collector must own. This album was released back in 1998 for a very short time and then they disappeared.  This band delivers breathtaking late 80s style Hair Metal/Hard Rock.  Musically, these guys are similar in style to Krokus, Great White and even some Motley Crue. “Burning Up Inside” and “Get Loose” are high charged Hard Rock anthems, and the AOR epic ballad, “The Calm Before The Storm” is simply stunning. This Florida based band was sponsored by Budweiser and Ocean Spray to play at Spring Break in Daytona Beach, while they had three songs on WDIZ, where one of them became the theme song for DIZ’s Orlando’s locals show.
