Profile Michael English is an American Christian singer. Initially, he was a member of his family’s singing group, and is currently a member of The Gaither Vocal Band. He signed his first solo recording contract with Warner Alliance in 1991 while continuing to sing lead in the Gaither Vocal Band. The release of Michael’s first solo, breakthrough CD with the hit “In Christ Alone” written by Shawn Craig and Don Koch won 1994’s Dove award for song of the year. Michael’s rendition of Mark Lowry’s song “Mary, Did You Know” was included in this CD as well as “Solid as the Rock” which was Michael’s first #1 hit.

His style of music reaches beyond so many of the boundaries that society puts up. If you have never listened to this man’s voice yet,you are missing something truly remarkable…. The first time I heard “Mary Do You Know”, I just couldn’t believe the effect it had on me. Words can not adequately convey the feelings I experienced upon hearing this song. All of the other songs on the CD are very, very good, and “Heaven” is a song that I personally like to listen to in the evening, and “Let’s Build a Bridge” is an upbeat song that I love to start off my day with. Tracks are clean and crisp. Absolutely no problem with the sound quality. A very inspirational CD. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good easy listening Christian CD.
