Profile Based out of Southampton in Hampshire (south coast of England), SUMMERS has hit the music scene worldwide with a vengeance! Summers gets their name from two brothers, Crash and Ricky Summers, who formed the group in 2007 to create a unique blend of iconic stadium rock and the new wave of music. Contributing to this incredible sound are guitarists Jason Sepala and Joedy Rose and drummer Andy Pope. Crash is the lead vocalist and Ricky provides the bass line. This is a talented group of singers and musicians who devote time to vocal harmony, evoking memories of classic rock bands like Bon Jovi and the Eagles. The skin-tight, twin-guitar riffs of Sepala and Rose may take you back to Thin Lizzy days.

When a group of talented young musicians and singers is approached by someone like Clyde Ward you know it’s a connection to keep an eye on. After all, Ward has worked with such artists as Eric Clapton, Sting, Lenny Kravitz and George Michael. SUMMERS has already had their first cameo movie appearance in Formosa Films new indie flick – Twenty8K, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Parminder Nagra – whose credits include E.R and Bend it Like Beckham, Jonas Armstrong who played Robin Hood in the BBC series, Kaya Scodelario – Wuthering Heights (releasing 2011) , Michael Socha one of the stars of This is England, Better Things and Shank and Stephen Dillane who features in. 44” Chest, Spy Game and King Arthur amongst a cast of many other gifted artists.

SUMMERS released their debut single “Too late” to the world markets on August 1 2011. “This tune is killer and is going to launch SUMMERS into overnight stardom” says Danie Cortese, their radio publicist, having worked with Emmy & Grammy winners. The band has live dates booked in Europe and the UK. A North American tour is in discussions. The Australian festival circuit is also being considered. BBC Radio 1 and Access All Areas will film the band for upcoming release.
