COUNTRY: United Kingdom (North Ireland)

STYLE: Hard Rock/Glam Punk

PROFILE:  ‘Filthy Angels are four noise-monsters who deliver a batch of heads down, no-nonsense boogie tracks that could wear out your bopping shoes before the season starts’ – Hot Press

After much anticipation from their ever growing fan base, Filthy Angels have released their debut album this summer. A band of motivated gutter punks hailing from Northern Ireland; the Angels bring you ‘L.A.F.A.’ (Like a Filthy Angel), an album of catchy sing-along choruses and melodic guitar hooks all fan funded through a highly successful Pledge Music campaign. Featuring lead tracks such as ‘Anti-Social Emotion’, ‘Can’t Go Home’ and ‘Getting It Right’ the band are, as described by Hot Press Magazine Editor Jackie Hayden, ‘born to rock and that’s exactly what they intend to do’.

With a motto of ‘Don’t bore us, get to the chorus’, Filthy Angels have taken inspiration from acts such as Ramones, Johnny Thunders and The Wildhearts to create an album of feel good rock n’ roll, delivering a punch that is in equal measures the first beer of the night and the hangover the morning after. Relishing in DIY ethics, the band created ‘L.A.F.A.’ using a Pledge Music campaign; an online pre-order initiative that allowed fans to fund the album and gain exclusive extras for taking part. Completing their Pledge target amount ahead of schedule, the band produced an album of tracks they have honed through extensive touring of the UK and Ireland, most recently across the O2 Academy’s in support of Tyla and the Dogs D’amour.

Filthy Angels are not ones for sitting on their laurels and will be touring in support of the album across the UK and Ireland later this year. ‘L.A.F.A.’ is sure to be the album of the summer and not to be missed.
