Jokers Death and Taxes was formed one night in 1992 over a very large tilting bottle of Crown Royal. We started out as a 4 piece acoustic band playing in a local diner. We knew right away that we wanted to rule the world. We decided to record a song at a professional studio and make a video just to see what would happen. Well, what happened was the video won a local Emmy and we went full bore and recorded a full album. We only played 6 shows but they were great with one of them at Deer Creek ampitheater in Indiana for the X103 local X fest. We also warmed up for Henry Lee Summer in 1995. In 1996 one of our songs wound up on a Chicago “Best of the Midwest” compilation album with Green Day, Todd Snyder and The Blues Travelers. We havn’t played anywhere else or done anything since then but just jam around the house.
