Profile JAX was formed in 1987 by Thom Jack. They originally consisted of Thom Jack on guitar and vocals, Patrick Conlon on drums, Robert Agnello (Spencer Davis, Carmen Sandiego) on bass, and Al Maddy on keyboards (Nitecaps). JAX recorded a six song demo in a SOHO studio in New York City that Thom had helped to build in exchange for free studio time.  Great hard rock, great melodic metal, but when it comes to glam I don’t think there were that many good bands, this is probably the exception! Very good album from start to finish, where the powerful “Hot so Hot” is a classic in its own right. The whole album is rousing rock that gets you driving too fast and lingers in your mind long after it’s finished playing, but “Givin’ My Heart” is definitely la piece de resistance. The guitar solo is a thing of beauty. A great find and very rare nowdays.
