Profile Janis Lee Royd is a German singer who released his only album in 1992. It contains perfect indie AOR with very good guitar work, many keyboards, classic AOR songs and a solid production. Imagine a mixture of Surprises, Jojo, Discovery and Robin (Over All Seven Seas) and you know how Janis Lee Royd sounds like.  “Life Goes On” is a cool AOR-song with a classic chorus that could’ve been taken from Robin’s album “Over All Seven Seas”, “Danger” with its super catchy hookline reminds a lot of Surprises, while “Attack” starts with a great keyboard/guitar-intro and leads into a fine chorus a la Discovery. “The Star” is a nice and very melodic ballad and “Wait” opens with amazing keyboards in the vein of Jojo. Last song “Charity”comes along like David J. Petovar. A real obscure and ultra-rare AOR-gem that worth your attention.
