Profile “High Heels” from the band HERBORN is without doubt one of the rarest and at the same time one of the very best AOR indie releases from Germany. One look at thetypical AOR-cover and I’m pretty sure you are curious about this one if you don’t know it at all. If you love melodic hard rock loaded with bombastic keyboards, killer guitars and those layered harmony vocals HERBORN will satisfy your addiction.

The tremendous opener “Summer Nights” a hell of a great AOR track… with its killer refrain, the huge keyboards and brilliant guitar work it reminds of Skagarack meets JOJO. “Turn Me On” is more a guitar driven rocker, but also with a cool chorus, reminding me of Rescue meets Roko, while on “Angel Of The Night” the huge keyboards are back and the mighty chorus reminds me of JOJO meets T’Bell and Boulevard. Three killer songs in a row… it’s time for a break with the great keyboard driven ballad “Forever In My Heart” with some influences from Lake, before the last track hits you again with an amazing big hookline in the Bad Habit meets Skagarack vein, swirling keys and smoking guitar riffs. A real killer indie AOR gem that is damn rare and nearly impossible to find and if you like the bands I mention above check this out….
