Profile Heaven 11 release only this album back in 1993 at a small indie label (Kay Music) and this gem is nowadays very sought after and very rare to track down. The opener “Never Surrender” for example is a great opening track with big guitars and big gang vocals at the chorus reminding me of Maximum while the cool “Better Be My Buddy, Baby” comes along with blistering guitar riffs and a sing along chorus in the vein of Faster Pussycat. The catchy “Emotions” comes with an AOR-attitude, while “Silence” is a great powerful Hardrock ballad.
“Skull And Bones” is another straight rocker with big backing vocals, shouting the chorus and the infectious “Let’s Go Crazy” is a major uptempo rocker with a cool hookline. The sound is excellent and the production (from Andy Bapst) powerful. Heaven 11 come along with very talented musicianship. Drums and bass are powerful and the guitar work is simply outstanding with big riffs and squealing solos all the way. Lead singer Chris Lead is a hell of a good shouter and his roaring voice fits perfect to that kind of music. Similar to bands like Faster Pussycat, Maximum, Helter Skelter and Nasty Habit .
