Profile “F.E.A.S.T.” is the personal hard rock/glam metal project of guitarist Fabri Kiareli who performs all guitars, bass and vocals while also writing, producing and arranging single handedly his debut album “Rise”. Only the drums are performed by Mao Granata.Honestly I had never heard of this artist prior to `Avenue of Allies records’ announcing his signing, and for that reason the musical superiority of “Rise” delivered a massive blow to the system.

Simply imagine: “White Lion”, “Vinnie Vincent Invasion” and “King Kobra” all rolled up in one man, Fabri Kiarelli; the guy is obviously influenced by the above powerhouse American glam metal bands, and subsequently incorporates a great deal of their sound into his music. I can not even come close to describing how big and powerful “Rise” sounds, the balance between melodic guitar leads and furious riffing is ideal, the Mike Tramp-like vocals so fitting to the style and the drumming gigantic with furious tom fills and licks. Looking closer at Fabri Kiareli’s guitar playing is literally built on the styles of Vinnie Vincent and Vitto Bratta (On the song “Dangerous love” one could have sworn it is Vinnie Vincent playing the guitar). Finally the lyrics carry such substance mostly delivering a positive message while acknowledging the various unfortunate circumstances that life brings along one’s way. For that matter the themes are all about standing one’s ground, finding satisfaction, pushing one’s self to the peak of their abilities etc.

Without a shadow of a doubt, “Avenue of Allies” records have definitely discovered a diamond of a talent in Fabri Kiareli. Very rarely do I come across, artists playing with such confidence, passion while honoring the sound of 80’s hard rock legends. I am now convinced that Kiareli has every bit the talent/potential to develop into a new John Sykes or Gary Moore for that matter; while “F.E.A.S.T-Rise” could as well become a classic of the genre in a few years time.

Favorite tracks include “Feed the Hunger”, “Dangerous Love”, “Follow the Way”, “Fire and Dynamite” and really each and every of its 13 tracks. If you are a fan of dynamic, powerful and passionate hard rock, buy this…
