Profile Einstein, was a German/Austrian hard rock band formed in 1978, and a year later they released their first record titled “First Principles”, recorded at Los Angeles Hotline Studios and Frankfurt Studio Löwengasse. Their music was pitched somewhere between the progressive rock of Emerson, Lake And Palmer and the pomp AOR of Kansas or Journey, but on the evidence of their sole album, First Principles, they were less intuitive songwriters and performers than any of those acts. Greeted with disdain bordering on antipathy by reviewers, the band continued for only a few months after its release.
