Profile This is the debut album of international melodic hard rock/metal band “Eden’s Curse” originally released in 2007. Conceived by American singer Michael Eden and British bass player Paul Logue (ex-“Cry Havoc), “Eden’s Curse” would go on to develop into something of an all star band, having drawn to its ranks keyboardist Ferdy Doenberg (Axel Rudi Pell), drummer Pete Newdeck (Steve Grimmett band) and guitarist Thirsten Koehne.

“Eden’s Curse” have succedded in combining AOR melodies and hard rocking riffs with metal rhythm section and undeniably metal lyrics. It has to be adressed that Michael has developed his lyrical and vocal lines to perfection. Koehne’s guitar work is massive and never reserved when it comes to shredding solos. The rhythm section as mentioned above delivers the metalic essence; still expect at times big bass lines in AOR style.

The sound of “Eden’s Curse” is quite reminiscent of bands such as “Lionsheart”, “Fifth Angel” and “Pretty Maids”. Another huge plus is the production, mixing and mastering is handled by Dennis Ward, an authority in capturing bands at their peak. And the German bassist, producer, songwriter has managed to balance all the personalities and diverse musical influences, giving each instument a distinct glow while at the same time combining them into one musical body.

Overall “Eden’s Curse” debut album is a great buy for any fan of melodic hard rock and metal, it is defintiely a project that deserves more attention than it has actually received as Eden and co have put out a world class melodic work.
