Profile This is a disc for all Hard Rock / Glam and Sleaze allies out there, although I must say that I still had my problems after the first hearing, because the songs didn’t catch the fire at all and it’s not the style of music I like very much. However, if you listen to “Promises” a few times more (on high volume – nice greetings to the neighbours), then especially the nice rockin “Heads Or Tails”, the slight DOKKEN-coloured “Lonely Lonely” as well as the title track “Promises” are worth to listen. The cd ends with the unnecessary soft acoustic “Hippy Song” which reminds me on crapy bands like POISON and GUNS’N ROSES. Anyway, it’s a quite nice gem but not compelling!
