Profile Shädy began his guitar, singer and songwriter career in 1989 under the pseudonym “David Leach”. In 1991 he released his first ep titled “Night Life” while a year later he joined Ain’t Dead Yet. Between 1991 and 1993, the group played more than 250 concerts in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. End of 1993 Shädy separated from Ain’t Dead Yet to continue his solo career. In 1994 he founded with Mandy Meyer (Krokus / Gotthard), Thomas Wild (Polo’s Schmetterband), Tony Castell (Krocus) and Chris Egger (Steve Thompson) the band “Dog Eat Dog”, but this was only one project for 30 concerts.
The major breakthrough came in 1995 with the the album Face of Time, which sold both in Switzerland as well as in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Canada. The single release “I Miss Your Smile” stormed the plate selection of many radio stations, including DRS 3 and Couleur 3. The single ended up in the Swiss charts at No. 3, behind Stefan Eicher and DJ Bobo while he supported Nazareth and Motorhead.
A real cool one record as it contains excellent AOR with driving guitars, AOR-keys and catchy songs. No matter which song you choose, for example the memorable opener “Dancing To The Rhythm” in the vein of Steve Thomson, the rocking “Lay It On The Line”, that reminds of Jeff Paris, or the title track “Face Of TIme” that sounds like amix of Stan Bush and Dan Lucas fabulous “News” album, you’ll get a good chorus on each and every song. The guitars are sharp as a knife and the keyboards everywhere in the mix. With a top notch and powerful production, this album appeal to fans of Steve Thomson, Jeff Paris, Dan Lucas and Stan Bush.
