Profile DARK LIGHT was a melodic hard rock band formed in Grimsby, UK in 1991 by guitarists Stuart Powell and Danny James. By the spring of 1992, and after some line-up changes, the band consisted of Powell and James, Neil Evans on vocals, Andi Cornwall on bass and Chris Drake on drums. In the summer of ’92, they recorded a 3-song, 12″ EP at the Gems studios in Boston Lincs. Released on their own label in the autumn, it sold reasonably well and received some radio play on local rock radio stations.

The band went back into the studio in the spring of 1993 to record a follow up and although four songs were recorded, the process caused stress and divisions within the band and, upon completion of the sessions, the band broke up. Incredibly, the 12″ EP has recently been known to fetch as much as £200 on ebay!
