Profile Butter is a Canadian rock band, not to be confused with the Swedish formed in 1984 by Ginette, Francis and Anjia. They debuted in 1988 with the single “Melody” that melled to be the name of their debut album released the same year via Bookshop Records and produced by Francis Roycen. The album has a strong production and combine melodic rock tunes with a poppy touch. Without a doubt the song “What Kind of Fool” you can hear on sample is the highlight of the record and worth your attention. The opening piano ballad “Father is Gone” is a heartfelt song suitable for a movie soundtrack where Ginette and Anjia’s voices sound absolutely riveting. “Breakaway” is another winner, a nice poppy song with that awesome 80s feeling we all love while another song that stole my impressio is “When I Remember”, a song that sound like came out from the 70s with a passionate melodic tune and great vocal performances. Another rarity that worth a try if you find it….
