Profile Boys Club was the R&B duo of Gene Hunt and Joe Pasquale from Minneapolis, Minnesota that had a big hit with “I Remember Holding You” in 1989, which peaked at #8 on the U.S. singles chart. Throughout the greater part of Minnesota, Boys Club was also regarded as “Minnesota’s version of WHAM!.”  The group was formed in 1988 after Eugene left the Jets. In 1988, the group’s song, “Time Starts Now” was featured on the “License to Drive” movie soundtrack.

In the same year, the group released their self-titled debut album which peaked at #93 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their only single to chart, “I Remember Holding You” became a top 10 hit, peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. The group released two more singles, “The Loneliest Heart” and “Step By Step” which didn’t chart. Boys Club was the first group to appear on the New Mickey Mouse Club as a musical guest during the first episode.
