The SHARKS are formed in ’79 and stand out winning the 1st Rock Festival Milan since then held several concerts live circuits entering the most important of Milan and ‘hinterland such as Rolling Stone, the Magic Music Meeting, etc.. After getting positive reviews on the SHARKS journals also have the opportunity to open concerts for big artists like the English RAVEN and VASCO ROSSI. Then participate in numerous competitions with good results (first prize at the Festival of Paderno Dugnano, fourth place at the Camel Rock Adventure), and with the song “Duel” enter the compilation of “Underground Music”.

At that time, the band has numerous lineup changes, then settling in ’86 with what will then remain the final formation. The SHARKS are thus at Sim HI-FI ’86 coming second and continue playing gigs improving and honing their musical style described as “melodic rock and spectacular.” In ’87 they won the 1st prize in the contest organized by Viva Youth Sim HI-FI in Milan, allowing him to participate in the competition world-famous Yamaha Band Explosion held at the prestigious Budokan in Tokyo and finished in second place, with the same about with other foreign groups. Upon their return to sign a contract with the management of Enrico Rovelli who will personally follow his career. In 1988 the band released their first LP with the CGD “Nights of Fire” produced by Luigi Schiavone, under the supervision of the text by Enrico Ruggeri.

It is made videoclip of the song “My Rock ‘n’ roll” that will be broadcast on Music Video and the band also participates in numerous television programs including Sanremo Rock, Festival Bar etc. That same year, the SHARKS will be a special guest on the dates of the Italian tour of JETHRO TULL. In ’89 the band took part in the Sanremo Festival with the song “Temptation” written in collaboration with Vasco Rossi. Followed by a long tour in Italy and numerous television promotion on circuits Mediaset and Rai (Saint Vincet, Superclassifica Show etc..)

In June / July of ’89 SHARKS will be the guest throughout the Italian tour of DEEP PURPLE and later in the VASCO ROSSI. In 1990 SHARKS record a new album “Slow Song” produced by Roberto Casini (former drummer of Vasco and producer P.Turci), but for problems of agreements between management and label the disk will never see the light. In the same year are beginning to arise some problems all ‘inside of the band later to some mysteries surrounding the disappearance of a master recorded with Vasco Rossi. At the turn of 1990 and 1991, the band broke up.

The band is known for being in the 80s a significant contribution to the spread and development of the “Melodic Rock / AOR” in Italy.
